The Foundation for Globalization Cooperation(Hereinafter referred to as “FGO”) is a new think-tank organization supported by the United Nations and Harvard University. The FGO is dedicated to building a justified, reasonable and humanized global management system and culture through integration of global resources.
The FGO is in cooperation with the UN institutions, international organizations, non-government organizations, and Harvard University. It also closely related to more than one hundred reputable government organizations, non-government organizations, international funds and commercial associations, including the African Union, the Arab League, the European Union, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, etc.
In 2000, the FGO successfully held the First Globalization Forum and received substantial support from Kofi Annan, the Secretary-General of the United Nations at that time, and the Forum remains considerable influences internationally. Under the support of the UN and approved by CPC central committee, the first three Globalization Forums were successfully held in China, with supports from state leaders' instructions or participation, including Xi Jinping and Hu Jintao. Under the approval of CPC central committee, the Fourth Globalization Forum was co-organized at Harvard University by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the FGO and Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
