China's First "Passive House International Consortium" was Established in Xiong'an New District
The 3rd China Zhong An Peace Passive House Technology Application and Development Symposium was successfully held in Xiong'an New District
Introduction: China Zhong An Peace Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Zhong An Peace”) with professional resources of many years unite the elite team of the industry to lead the establishment of the China Zhong An Peace Passive House International Consortium (hereinafter referred to as “the consortium”), which will follow the “world vision, international standards” relying on passive house life cycle quality management system to achieve the highest standards of passive house. Approved by the Hebei Provincial Government and the Administrative Committee of Xiong'an New District, China Zhong An Peace launched the establishment procedure of Xiong'an Subsidiary, hoping to contribute to building the Xiong'an New District in the areas of safe city and passive house.
On May 25th, the "International Cooperation Symposium on Passive House under the Background of Globalization and The 3rd China Zhong An Peace Passive House Technology Application and Development Symposium "led by China Zhong An Peace, was held in Anxin Kaisheng Hotel, Xiong'an New District, Hebei Province. Mr. Zhang Yang, Chairman of China Zhong An Peace Holding Co., Ltd.; Professor Zhang Youchun, Vice Director of China Zhong An Peace Security and Counter-Terrorism Committee; Professor Georg Wolfgang Reinberg, Austrian Passive House Architect; Ms. Sara Zimmermann, Representative of the Austrian Embassy in China; Ms. Tan Peisi, Vice-President of European-Chinese Association for Advancement of Environmental Development and members of the consortium attended the symposium.
The symposium was organized by China Zhong An Peace, Passive House Institute Darmstadt German (PHI), and European-Chinese Association for Advancement of Environmental Development. The symposium was co-organized by Neue Bauphysik und Energydesign Gmbh, Schoeberl and Poell Bauphysik Forschungs GmbH, Architekturbuero Reinberg ZT GmbH and Architect Dr. Marcello Turrini, and other related institutions.

Chairman Zhang Yang said that the life cycle quality management system for the passive house is a normalized and standardized management tool for implementing passive house. It includes two aspects: on the one hand, the integrated management of passive house from design to acceptance; on the other hand, China Zhong An Peace pays attention to the quality performance of passive house in their entire life cycle, taking into account the factors of future climate change in the region, and controlling quality in all aspects of design, calculation, material selection and construction.
Chairman Zhang Yang pointed out that building energy consumption is the main sector of energy consumption and an important factor affecting national energy security. According to the statistics, China's total building energy consumption in 2015 was 857 million tons of standard coal, accounting for 20% of the country's total energy consumption. Promotion of passive house that meet the 15kwh/(m2.a) building energy consumption standard can save 183 million tons of standard coal per year only in northern heating areas. It can be seen that the promotion of passive house conforming to the 15kwh/(m2.a) building energy consumption standard will help reduce the dependence of China's buildings on petrochemical energy and help to ensure national energy security and ecological security.

Director Zhang Youchun said that the geographical environment of China's border and coastal defense areas is complex, the climate is changeable, the living conditions are difficult, the social support conditions are insufficient, and the passive building technology has good adaptability, which can effectively rely on the combination of building solar energy and surrounding resources to ensure energy stability, improve the living conditions of the defense zone, enhance the physical fitness of the soldiers, and maintain combat effectiveness.

On behalf of the Austrian government, Ms. Sara Zimmermann, representative of the Austria Embassy in China, presented the Green Planet Architecture Prize to Mr. He Shurui, Chairman of Hebei Xinhua Curtain Wall Co., Ltd., which is the member of the consortium, for the passive office building and apartment project of Hebei Zhuozhou Xinhua Curtain Wall Co., Ltd.
